1 Duties of Authors

• Submit only original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere
• Properly cite all sources; avoid plagiarism and self-plagiarism
• Present data accurately; do not fabricate or falsify results
• Disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources
• Ensure all co-authors approve the final manuscript and author order
• Obtain ethics approval and informed consent where research involves humans or animals
• Promptly notify the editor of significant errors after publication

2 Duties of Editors

• Evaluate manuscripts fairly without regard to authors’ identity, gender, institution or geography
• Maintain confidentiality of submissions
• Pursue suspected misconduct appropriately (correction, retraction, institutional notice)
• Base decisions on academic quality, originality, relevance and reviewer reports
• Recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists

3 Duties of Reviewers

• Provide objective, constructive reviews in a timely manner
• Declare conflicts of interest and decline review when appropriate
• Keep manuscript content confidential; do not use unpublished data for personal advantage
• Identify relevant uncited work and possible ethical concerns

4 Plagiarism & Misconduct

Manuscripts may be screened for similarity. The following are treated as misconduct:

• Plagiarism and inappropriate reuse of text, figures or data
• Data fabrication or falsification
• Redundant / duplicate publication
• Gift, ghost or disputed authorship without resolution
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest

Consequences may include rejection, retraction, and notification of institutions. Concerns may be reported to info@joiari.in.

5 Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern

JIARI is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. The original article is not silently deleted.

• Corrections – Issued for errors that do not invalidate the main findings (e.g., typographical, authorship, or minor data corrections).
• Retractions – Issued when findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error, or in cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research.
• Expressions of Concern – May be published when an investigation is ongoing or conclusive evidence is not yet available.
• Article withdrawal – Considered only in exceptional pre-publication cases; post-publication the preferred mechanisms are correction or retraction.

Readers, authors, or institutions may report concerns to info@joiari.in. All reports are handled confidentially and investigated according to established ethical guidelines.

6 Conflict of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process must declare relevant conflicts of interest:

• Authors – Financial and non-financial conflicts that could influence the work.
• Editors – Must recuse themselves from manuscripts involving personal, professional, or institutional conflicts.
• Reviewers – Must declare conflicts and decline review when appropriate.
• Publisher – Editorial decisions are independent of commercial considerations.
